Ferntree Rainforest Lodge - Getting There

Air

Domestic and international visitors can fly direct to Cairns, where a number of transfer options to Cape Tribulation are available.

Coach Transfers

Coach transfers are available between Cairns and Cape Tribulation daily. We recommend "Sunpalm Transport" who offer daily transfers to and from Cairns airport, they also provide a similar service from Port Douglas.

Other coach transfers are also available between Cairns and Ferntree Rainforest Lodge (timetable available at the time of booking). Transfer time is approximately three hours each way. Transfers from Cairns require crossing the Daintree River by car ferry. The Daintree Ferry operates between 6am-12midnight only.

Self Drive

You can also organise to hire a car or drive your own and enjoy the magnificent scenery at your leisure. Once you arrive at the Daintree River the car ferry will take you across to Cape Tribulation. It operates between 6am and midnight every day and costs $20 per return trip for cars.
